The Medal of Service was awarded in 5, 10 and 25 year rates (Bronze, Silver and Gold) for service to the Empire in a government or military capacity. The Medal of the Emperor's Fist was awarded to Imperial citizens and soldiers who provided "distinguished services to the Emperor in strengthening and maintaining galactic peace." Medal of Service The Imperial Medal of Resolution and the Imperial Grand Medal of Resolution were awarded for those Imperial citizens and soldiers who had been involved in the resolution of disputes or conflicts in regards to a specific conflict. There is some debate about the Emperor's Will medal being higher in stature to the Distinguished Medal of Imperial Honor, the Emperor's Will is directly awarded by the Emperor and is considered a private, sacred honor within the Empire for recognition directly by the Emperor. It was awarded for outstanding service to the Empire.
