The word “virtue” comes from the Greek word “virtus” meaning “the strength”. The comprehension and translation of Ren is widespread owing to its complicated and diverse meanings, such as benevolence, virtue, love for others, kindness, humanity. 『亲仁善邻,国之宝也』/『親仁善鄰,國之寶也』: Benevolence and good-neighbourliness are of great value to the country.『仁』(Ren) is considered the most important moral standard by Confucius, thus forming the core of the Chinese ethical system. The original meaning of『仁』is: “the closeness between people.”-from the ancient Chinese dictionary『说文解字』（Shuowen Jiezi). The concept of Ren was mentioned 109 times in the Analects. As such, Confucianism is regarded as the study of Ren. In ancient China, Ren, as the moral realm, had a wide range of meaning. The right part of『仁』is『二』, represents the heaven and the earth: The Meaning of『 仁 』 ( Ren ) In 1200-1050 B.C., it was written in the oracle bone script as: The left part of 『仁』is『亻』, means 'a man who is standing'. The character『仁』was first created by combining『亻』and『二』.
